Latest News from Southbank FC

10th Dec 2005 -Southbank Latest

Southbank Online hasn't been updated for a while due to other commitments but thanks to Hightower we now have a few match reports for recent 1st team games (Black Boy, Misfits).  If anyone has anything else they'd like to get up on the site, such a news or match reports, then please e-mail them to info@southbankfc.com.

It's been a difficult run of games for both teams since the site was last updated.  An Injury crisis and a lack commitment from too great a number of players has meant that neither Holton or Persaud have had a settled squad to pick from.  There is no doubt we have players good enough to mount a challenge in both divisions but if the management don't have the players there on a Sunday there is nothing they can do to improve recent results.

YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU.  2006 has to see an improvement in players commitment or things won't get any better.  Please make that effort to turn up....especially if you've said you're playing!!

On the injury front this season has seen our worst spate of serious injuries.  This is a quick update to the best of my knowledge of the longer term injuries:

Luke Howroyd - Broken leg (16.10.05).  Leg still in plaster until at least New Year

Dave Herries - Dislocated Shoulder (30.10.05).  Expected return in Feb

Allan Kemp - Knee (last season).  Still waiting for NHS to pull their finger out and operate

Andy Hyslop - Hernia (last season).  Played first game for 7monts after injury for Stiffs last weekend

Paul Latch - Broken arm (27.11.05).  Arm in plaster for the next 6 weeks

Scouse - Broken hand (06.11.05).  Returned to Reserve team action

Budda - Torn ankle ligaments (04.09.05).  Returned to light training this week

Ben Neo - Knee (04.12.05).

Olly Bradbury - Collection of little knocks, ailments & concussion (usually when losing).  Should thankfully be fit the next game
