30th Jan 2006 - Points All
Round for The 'Bank
Southbank came away with a well earned point in the derby match against
Southcote Video Reserves thanks to a rare goal from Andy 'Macca' MacArthur and
some backs to the walls defending (click
here for more details). With Video just two points ahead of Holton's
side win would've allowed The 'Bank to jump their rivals in the league
but a point was a fair reflection of a hard fought game.
Andy
Persaud's resurgent Southbank Reserves continued their good form with a 3-3
draw against a talented Cafe du Sport side. With Southbank leading 3-2 it
was former Southbank 'bad boy' Colin 'Heskey' Charles who claimed a late
equalizer for Sport when he bundled home the ball after a typical Heskey
challenge on the keeper!
