25th September - Encouraging Start for The 'Bank
The
new management team at Southbank can be pleased with their first months
progress in the Reading Sunday League. An influx of fresh young talent
and a reshuffle of the playing squad as well as the management seems to have
brought a fresh optimism to the club for 2006-07.
Hightowers first month in charge has seen 3 wind from 4 games and 15 goals
scored with 5 going in at the other end. All in all a good start to
the season with a number of strong looking sides making their way to the top
of Division One West.
Under the guidance of Scouse the Reserves have also had a promising start to
the season. Despite a opening day defeat at the hands of Caversham
United and local rivals Fox and Hounds, Scouse's outfit are shaping up to
mount a challenge at the right end of the table this year.
