19th Dec 2006 - 3 Points For Christmas

Southbank signed off a turbulent 2006 with a comfortable 5-0 victory over Division One West strugglers Theale Reserves thanks to a hatrick from Jason Archer and further goals for top scorer Benji Williams and fullback Ricky Haimes (click here for more details).  The puts Hightowers' side in a strong position to push for promotion back to the Premier Division in Hightowers first season in charge at the 'Bank.

Southbank Reserves had a less productive final game of the year as they slumped to a 10-0 defeat away to free scoring Mapledurham Cavaliers Colts.  In Scouses absence his side failed to deal with the attacking prowess of the young Mapledurham side who went one better than the 9 they put past the stiffs earlier in the season.  All is not lost though and 2007 still has plenty to offer for the Reserves who still eyes on moving up the Reading Sunday League ladder.

Southbank finish off 2006 in true 'Bank style with a Christmas night out on Thursday 21st December, starting at Murdochs at 7.00 pm, all current and former players are encouraged to make an appearance.
