1st  Feb 2007 - January Blues Hits Southbank

Southbank will be glad to see the back of January after a torrid month, interrupted by fixture cancellations, saw the First Team lose both their games 5-2 and the Reserves suffer a similar fate with two consecutive defeats of 6-0 and 4-1.

The first team suffered at the hands of the in form County Arms (click here for details), who have since found their way to the top of the league, followed by a derby day defeat courtesy of 3 late Englefield goals (click here for details).  The results mean that promotion is unlikely for Hightower's side but there is still plenty of games to put right a few wrongs.

Meanwhile Scouse's Reserve team suffered a heavy defeat away to Caversham Park before an encourage display against highflying RG Two ended in a more honourable 4-1 defeat (click here for more details) with the improvement in the teams display boosting morale despite the scoreline.
