26th Mar 2007 - Derby Day Defeats Dent 'Bank March

Southbank's February form left them in March as the month passed without a single win for The 'Bank!

On the back of good results against Kidmore and Ibis Hightowers 1st team managed to claim only two points from draws with Kidmore (click here for details) and Riverside (click here) and found themselves on the wrong side of a 2-0 scoreline in the local derby with Englefield (click here), and ended the month with a 5-2 loss to fellow mid-table side Mapledurham Cavaliers (click here).  With only four games remaining Southbank are now just playing for pride in Division One West.

Meanwhile Scouse's Reserves hardly fared any better.  After February had ended with the morale boosting win over high flying United Home Guard (click here) Southbank returned to earth with a bump at the hands of a 6-2 loss to FC Ole (click here) and another derby defeat to John Lusted Cup Finalists and local rivals Fox & Hounds (click here).  The Reserves now require two points from their remaining two games to be likely to overhaul Caversham Park into 6th place in Division Three Central.
