The 'Bank
Southbank picked up maximum points for the weekend with two well well earned
victories. The first team won 2-0 away at Alfreds Head whlist the
Reserves eased to a 4-1 win over Victoria arms.

Steve Woodrow freekick gave Southbank a 1-0 lead in a keenly contested local
derby against Alfreds and the 3 points were sealed when a goal mouth scramble
saw Danny Fitzpatrick get the last touch as the ball ended in the back of the
net. The performance was a continuation of Southbanks return to form with
the midfield trio of Broomfield, Brown and Towner setting the tone for a good
team display.
Reserve Player/Manager and goalkeeper scored his 4th of the season with a spot
kick that completed the scoring against mid table Victoria Arms. Goals
from Malcolm Everest, Raph Allen and a Chris Sigsworth screamer ensured
the points as Southbank Reserves continue their promotion challenge.
