16th Jan 2005 - Woodrow Reaches
Ton As 'Bank Claim Win
Steve Woodrow struck his 100th goal for Southbank on his way to helping The
'Bank secure a 4-2 win over Southcote Video Reserves. Also amongst the
goals were Ben Thurgood, Danny Fitzpatrick and Simon 'Hightower' Price with
only his second goal for the club, both against Video. The win was a much
needed tonic for Holton's side who'd gone 4 games without a win.
Southbank Reserves continued their slump in form with an away defeat at the
hands of AFC Tilehurst. A first Southbank goal for Steve Mahoney and Adam
Wilsons 4th of the season just wasn't enough as Tilehurst converted two
penalties amongst their 3 goal haul. The Reserves will be looking to get
back to winning ways against Rose & Thistle next week.
