Defeat for Southbank
Southbank put up a valiant fight against Senior Division title challengers
Reading Irish but two first half goals saw Southbank exit the cup on the back
of a 2-0 defeat.
Irish always had the upper hand against a depleted Southbank but it took a
quick free kick on the edge of the box to open the scoring. Southbank had
their own fair share of chances, with Allan Kemp going close on a number of
occasions, but a sucker punch goal on the stroke of half time clinched the tie
for Irish.
