18th Apr 2004 - Sun Shines on 'Reserves in
Pouring Rain
Southbank Reserves won their first game since before Christmas with two
goals from Danny Fitzpatrick and a Mark Holton strike enough to see off The Sun
3-1 (Click here for a full match
report). Especially pleased with the result was goalkeeper Ian
Harvey who gifted The Sun their goal by throwing a cross in to the back of his
own net.
The win follows on from last weeks 2-2 draw with Caversham Park (click
here for a full match report) which
means Southbank have avoided finishing bottom of Division 3 Central.
They've now opened up a 4 point gap over basement outfit Mapledurham Cavaliers
who only have one game to play.
Elsewhere last week Southbank's first team were held to a 2-2 draw at home
to Trentonians (Click here for a full
report). An OG and Allan Kemp's 6th of the season earning The 'Bank a
point.
