19th Sept 2004 - Southbank Bank
Another Four Points
A
dogged defensive display from Southbank saw them clinch a point in a 0-0 draw
away to early Premier Division leaders Whitely Tavern Reserves. Tavern
had won their first two games comfortably and scored an impressive 13 goals in
the process, but a good team display infront of Southbank's impressive back
four successfully shut them out. Steve Woodrow nearly claimed all three
points for Holton's side but it wasn't to be as both sides had to settle for a
point.
Southbank Reserves charge up the table continued with a 5-1 win making it three
wins in three games for Harvey and Persuad's side. An Everest brace, Jeff
Evans first for the club, an own goal and an Ian Harvey penalty secured the
three points.
