Latest News from Southbank FC

20th Mar 2005 - News Round Up

Its been a while since the last website update so there is a bit of news to catch up on.

First Team:  A 2-2 draw against top of league Abbey Rangers was followed by a disappointing defeat at home to fellow relegation battlers Earley United.  These results, and Earley's dramatic change in form since Cristmas, mean Southbank need to win their remaining two fixtures to ensure Premier Division survival.

Reserves: A 3-2 defeat against Barton Rovers Res has dented the Reserves promotion push.  The 1-0 victory against Theale at the weekend has given new hope but with a tough run-in a top four finish looks a tall order.

The Barton Rovers fixture saw former Reserve Team Manager Marc Osbourn make his 100th appearance in a Southbank shirt.

Tour:  The Southbank End of Season Tour to Bournemouth has now been booked.

Money: With the season drawing to a close all debts need to be cleared.  Without this money we can't buy trophies for the end of season presentation or new equipment for next year.  Please make sure you clear you debt by the last game of the season.  Check with Persaud, Danny or Budda to find out how much you owe!
