Latest News from Southbank FC

22nd Aug 2004 - Premier Division 2004/05

Following the success of last season Southbank enter the 2004/05 season once again looking at life in a new division following promotion to the Reading & District Sunday League Premier Division.

This season the the league will consist of:

Abbey Rangers

Alfreds Head

Earley Home Guard

Earley United

IBIS

Kidmore End

Loxwood Park Rangers

Southcote Video Res

Theale

Tilehurst United

Whitely Tavern Res

and of course Southbank.

A number of the sides will be familiar to The 'Bank with both Southcote Video Res and Theale being elevated from last years Division One West.  Alfreds Head, IBIS and Tilehurst United are all well known to The 'Bank after numerous encounters in the past, with the Alfreds game already an eagerly awaited fixture.

One notable name missing from that list is that of last years Division One West Champions, AFC Victory.  Victory lost a number of players over the summer and despite their unbeaten campaign last year have now been forced to fold due to a lack of players.

Southbank's first fixture in the Premier Division will be at home against Earley Home Guard on September 12th.  This will be followed with games away to Whitley Tavern, home to Tilehurst United, and away to IBIS.
