Southbank’s post Christmas form continued as
the recorded a 5-0 victory over a depleted
Misfits team at Coley on Sunday.
Following the previous 4-3 win a couple of
weeks back in the Tilehurst Charity Cup,
Southbank were prepared for a tough game
against Misfits and for long period in the
first half Southbank struggled to find the
back of the net, despite countless chances.
Two
first half goals did follow, curiosity of Luka
Kasonda and Neil Healy. Kasonda spent much of
the cup game on the bench but proved what a
handful he can be, claiming two goals during
this game.
The
second half belonged to Dion Denny who scored
two and also claimed two assists as Southbank
scored a further 3 goals to consolidate the 1st
half’s goals. Denny getting the third and
fourth, the fourth supplied thanks to a cross
supplied by the returning Dan Little, who’s
been a frustrated spectator on the sidelines
following a ban for much of the season. Luka
Kasonda then wrapped the win up with the fifth
to seal the 3 points as Southbank recorded
their highest victory of the season.
