THREE ON THE BOUNCE.....
Boys things are certainly going in the right direction for
us now. Three wins on the bounce and we are heading in the right direction
in the league.
With Fox and Hounds managing a drew against top of the
league FC Ole & Mapledurham Cavalier Colts being beaten 2-0 at home to
United Home Guard means that we have gained points on the top teams. But
most of all it means that these teams who are topping the league have
dropped points so the confidence may be dropping as we are gaining in
confidence.
Yesterday started again with two blows to our defence with
again the occurring injury of Karl coming back to keep him out of selection
and also Mahoney who took a knock and he said that he was not fit for
selection. But luckily this didn't effect me the way that it may have done
in present years as the squad numbers this year is second to none.
The game started well for The Bank with us keeping them
pinned in their own half for the first 10 to 15 minutes. However we couldn't
break them down not because of lack of ability but the use of the linesman's
flag. He didn't give us anything every time we attacked he was claiming that
we were offside. This is the same Manager who played 57 minutes at their
place (CHEATING B**STARD). But we eventually broke them down with another
set piece for our first goal again regular corner taker Andy Mac placing the
ball into his normal spot and finding the smallest player on the pitch, the
2 foot nothing Captain Fantastic Andy Persaud (Look out
Holton & Jeff I think Andy & Harvey don't think the golden boot in a 2 horse
race).
The second comes from a free kick again Andy Mac the
supplier but this time Mark Holton finding the back of the net although
claims of an own goal but he was the Bank player to touch it and it was
certainly heading in the right direction. The Bank now 2-0 to the good and
looking like they are in total control and we are with Charlie having
nothing to do in goal as we kept our concentration and foot completely on
the pedal.
The third goal coming from Man Of The Match Andy Mac who
crossed the ball into the box but it somehow found its way in the top corner
(No more than what he deserved yesterday well played mate) Half time and a
very comfortable 3-0 and a great first half performance.
We started the second half a little bit slower than the first
half looking for the fourth and looking to finish the game but again their
manager was getting flag happy with his offside (This now starting to wind
both myself and the majority of the players). Eventually we get our fourth
in the shape of Jeff Evans again reliable to center forwards finding the
back of the net.Now its time for a change as Tony
Nolan makes way for Oggie and Jeff makes way for Harvey. We are still
containing them in their own half. The Fifth goal comes from Harvey who is
like persaud and could start a charge for the golden boot.
Boys the last two games have produced a team that can get
promoted out of this division if we keep believing in ourselves. 17 goals
scored and 0 conceded in the last two makes very good reading as well.
BOYS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. We will only get out of this
league what we put in. Onwards and upwards.
Team: Cook, Djakovic, Guppy, Poffley, Ali Mac
(Bailey), Andy Mac, Persaud, Broomfield, Nolan (Holloway), Holton, Evans
(Harvey).
