Following Southbank's successful inaugural season (1997-98) the decision was made to establish a Reserve side.  1998 saw the Reserves compete in the UK Trophy Factory Friendly League, finishing a creditable 2nd before joining the Reading & District Sunday League for the 1999-2000 season.  Promotion was achieved at the second attempt and the Reserves now play in Division 3 Central. This year will be the Reserves 5th season in Division 3 but their first under the new management of Player/Manager Wayne Woods.
